“Intelligent Systems”

The third HiTech Conference on "Intelligent Systems" will be held from 4 to 8 June 2024 at the Fairgrounds in Damascus, in parallel with the 10th edition of the Technology of Information and Communication Exhibition (HiTech). This scientific event aims to bring together academic researchers and those interested in the field of artificial intelligence to exchange their experiences, research results and projects. The conference also provides a multidisciplinary forum for researchers, experts, teachers and students to present and discuss the latest innovations, trends, concerns, practical challenges encountered and solutions adopted in the fields of artificial intelligence and its applications.

The Conference Will Focus On The Following Main Tracks:

Track I: Artificial Intelligence

Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:
Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Data Mining, Computer Vision.

Track II: Intelligent Robotic Systems

Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:
Assistive Robots, Medical Robots, Autonomous Robots, Human-Robot Interaction, Agents and Multi-Agent Systems.

Track III: Intelligent Security Systems

Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:
AI and ML in and for security, Big data analytics for Cyber threat intelligence and detection, IOT cybersecurity and privacy, Mobile and cloud computing security, AI for Risk management and threat management.

Track IV: AI-Based BA

Topics of interest for submission include, but are not limited to:
AI for Business Process Management , AI for ERP, AI for Decision Support Systems, Business Intelligentce, AI for Project Management.

The Conference Will Include

  1. Public lectures given by researchers and experts in the field of intelligent systems
  2. Presentations of pre-reviewed research papers within the scope of the conference
  3. An exhibition of university projects in the field of artificial intelligence

A specialized scientific committee will revise the submitted scientific papers and the students’ projects for possible inclusion in the conference. According to the recommendations of the scientific committee, a prize of (2.5 million Syrian pounds) will be awarded for the best scientific paper in each of the conference’s tracks. Four financial prizes will also be awarded for the best graduation projects. (1.5 million Syrian pounds for the best software project - 1.5 million Syrian pounds for the best hardware project - One million Syrian pounds for the second best software project - One million Syrian pounds for the second best hardware project).

The accepted research papers, after being revised by the scientific committee, will be published in "Syrian Journal for Science and Innovation" published by the Higher Commission for Scientific Research and which is recognised by the Ministry of Higher Education and scientific research.

Submission Guidelines

For research papers

  1. The research must be original and not previously published in local or foreign scientific journals
  2. The maximum number of pages is 15 pages
  3. The research must follow the template adopted in the conference: For Arabic (paper template) For English (paper template)
  4. Provide the information about the co-authors (5 maximum) according to the registration form available on the registration site
  5. Submit two electronic copies of the paper in PDF format on the registration site; One includes the names of the authors and the other without names or affiliations
  6. Upon acceptance notification, the corresponding author is required to prepare a 15-minute presentation about his submitted work to be presented during the conference

Submission Guidelines

For university projects

The project must have been realized within a Syrian university not before 2021

  1. Submit a poster about the project according to the following template adopted in the conference: (poster template)
  2. Provide the information about the project, names of the participants and of the supervisors (5 maximum) according to the registration form available on the registration site
  3. Upon acceptance notification, the participants are asked to prepare their project to be presented in the place designated for university projects during the conference
